A short assessment of approximately 20-30 minutes in our dedicated, fully enclosed, scent training pen. This tests the dog's drive to locate its toy and the potential to locate target scent for reward of its toy.  This assessment must be carried out before booking the Scent Detection Initial Course.

• Prospective dog and handler teams will display a good standard of control both on and off the lead.

  • Recall from distractions
  • Wait & stay
• Dogs must be social with people and other dogs.
• A toy based reward system should be in place.

The Scent Detection Group meets on Saturdays from 9.00am to 12:30pm. The program is continuous, with no fixed start or end dates. Clients first undergo a suitability assessment (see separate booking), before signing up for this initial 6-week course.

A single additional session within the Scent Detection Group Saturdays 9.00am - 12.30pm.

Dog and handler will continue on from the initial scent detection course and may progress to Intermediate & Advanced Training with extended search areas, smaller targets, greater control, and will include blank areas by booking additional sessions.
