Rally Sport Dog Training

Rally (also known as Rally Obedience or Rally-O) is a Kennel Club recognised dog sport that involves owners and their dogs working as a team to navigate through a course of 15-25 stations with an obedience instruction mounted on a stand at each station – a kind of 'obedience exercise obstacle course'.  As the handler and dog approach each station the handler reads the command and instructs the dog to perform the exercise accordingly.   Each dog and handler team starts the course with 200 points and deductions are made for any errors.  It is a fun sport which any dog and owner can participate in as it's not about speed but bond between dog and owner.  At Levels 1 and 2 dogs compete on lead, whereas at levels dogs 3-6 compete off the lead.

See Kennel Club Information on Rally Obedience for more detail on the sport.

We offer rally sport dog training for all levels of owners and dogs.

Man Tracking and Trailing Dog Training

Tracking (following a scent trail, with nose to the ground, made by a particular individual on a soft surface) and trailing (following the scent of a particular individual whether it be on the ground or in the air) are activities that all dogs enjoy as it is both mentally and physically stimulating.

Training a dog for man tracking and trailing is not just for those interested in training a dog for law enforcement or search and rescue uses, but also for dog owners interested in participating in tracking dog events and working trials.

We offer both man tracking and trailing dog training with an instructor with considerable experience in law enforcement dog training.

Scent Detection Dog Training

A scent detection dog or sniffer dog is trained to use its sense of smell to detect hidden items. Scent detection dogs are most notably used by police forces or by security personnel to detect illegal substances and contraband, blood or human remains but dogs can also be trained to detect things such as cancer, wildlife feces, bed bugs and much more.

We offer scent detection dog training with an instructor with extensive experience training scent dogs within law enforcement and the military.

Agility Dog Training

Dog agility is a popular sport which can be enjoyed by all dog breeds and owners of all ages, in which the owner directs the dog through an obstacle course in a race against the clock whilst also ensuring accuracy. The obstacles consist of jumps, tunnels, weave poles, pause tables, A-frames, seesaws and others.

We offer agility training for all levels of dog and owner from complete novices to advanced.  With our indoor and outdoor training areas we are able to offer agility training all year round, whatever the weather.

Problem Dog Training

We have qualified dog behavourists who can carry out behaviour assessments with problem dogs and provide a detailed report of issues to the owner, then discussing in full to devise a suitable training plan.
